About Profile Extrusion

Profile extrusion is a manufacturing process in which raw plastic material is melted and formed into a continuous profile. Different from injection molding process, most of the products using this technique are formed in linear shapes. Our products are produced with customer’s needs, therefore we are able to customize the products in any shape per customer’s requests.

Using DINP

Di-iso-nonyl Phthalate (DINP, Chemical formula C26H42O4, Structural formula C6H4(COO(CH2)6CH(CH3)2)2) is a mixture of Phthalates (PAEs) and Isononyl (INA). It is a phthalate used as a plasticizer and is very similar to DEHP. Compare to DEHP, DINP is a common plasticizer that has lower volatility and lower plasticizing efficiency. It also has lower migration, water extraction rate and higher heat resistance and electrical impedance. DINP’s low volatility provides a longer product life time and reduces the evaporation during the manufacturing process.

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS)

Since 2002, the RoHS2 has had a huge impact to the market of electrical and electronic products from manufacturers, retailers to suppliers. Taiwan as one of the biggest supplier worldwide, was also affected by this restriction. Due to the market change and technology growth, the Official Journal of the European Union published 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2). The restricted substances list was amended to add four phthalates (DEHP、BBP、DBP、DIBP) by Directive (EU) 2015/863 on to original list of 6 restricted substances, including (lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). The latest amending directive of RoHS 2 will be issued on 21 November 2017.

Plasticizers or dispersants are additives that increase the plasticity or decrease the viscosity of a material. Plasticizers are often blended with plastic, concrete, drywall material, cement, adhesive, plaster and other materials. The properties and performances of the materials may also be modified when blended with different materials. There are hundreds of different categories of plasticizer but phthalates are the most commonly used.

About Flat Flame Retardant/Smoke Seals (Rubber strip)

  • Expansion Rate: 5-10 times of original size. (Max 16-18 times)
  • Material:  PVC + Graphite
    • PVC has great weather resistance, with graphite, it expands when heated and seals around the objects to prevent spread of flame. Often applied to fire door.
    • Adhesive available. Made in Taiwan PET materials can also be customized per request.
  • Size (mm): 1*20 1*25 1*40 1*45 1*48 1*50  / 2*15 2*20 2*25 2*30 (Other sizes avaialbe per request)
  • Use: Apply on to four ways of the fire door or door sill.

About Airtight Flame Retardant/Smoke Seals (Rubber strip)

  • Expansion Rate: 5-10 times of original size
  • Material:  PVC + Rubber + Graphite
  • PVC has high weather resistance low recoverability. Rubber has high recoverability and high heat resistance. When combine the two materials, it creates a longer product life time and a higher level of airtightness. With graphite, it expands when heated and seals around the objects to prevent spread of flame. Often applied to fire door.
  • Size: Can be customized.
  • Use: Apply on to door sill notche to build airtightness.

  • Material:  PVC + Rubber
  • PVC has high weather resistance low recoverability. Rubber has high recoverability and high heat resistance. When combine the two materials, it creates a longer product life time and a higher level of airtightness.

  • Use: Apply on to door sill notche to build airtightness.
  • PVC decorative strips, anti-slip strip and automotive rubber strips.

About Waterproof Airtight Strip for Metal

  • Waterproof Airtight Seal for Metal (Rubber Strip)
  • Material: PVC+SPCC-2B, HV= 170~190, Thickness: 0.4 MM
  • SPCC-2B is symbol used by the Japanese Industrial of Standards (JIS) to define steel sheets.
    • Hardness (HRB): 74~89. Bright finish, often used for SPCC
    • SPCC-2B stands for Steel Plate Cold Common
    • ½ hardness (HRB 74~89)
  • Steel comes with notch that makes the rubber strips easier to cut and bend.
  • Use: Waterproof, anti-collision. Apply onto steel can prevent collision and scratch.

About Airtight Seal for Metal (Soft/Hard PVC Co-extrusion Rubber Strip)

  • Soft/Hard PVC co-extrusion: Two machines, one with hard materials (one color) and the other with soft materials (another color) passes through the mold extrusion at the same time.

  • Material: PVC+SPCC-2B, HV: 170~190, Hardness: 0.4mm
  • Soft Part Material (Airtightess): PVC + Rubber. Can be apply on electrical box door or other doors that requires airtightness. Easy to use, high level of airtightness. Long product life time, high weather resistance.
